Our Konnection started with a simple belief: no one should be left out of their health care, their legal rights or their child’s education because of the language they speak. Today we’re a growing team of interpreters and language professionals in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania — with roots in the Dominican Republic and a big heart for Greater Reading.

Our story
From the Dominican Republic to Greater Reading
Like many good things, Our Konnection was born out of necessity. Our founder, Arturo Bobea, knows firsthand what it takes to stretch beyond your comfort zone in a new place and a new language. He built the company from the ground up in the Dominican Republic — where our original branch continues to grow — and brought it to Pennsylvania to serve a community that needed clear, caring language support.
Our team is made up of interpreters, translators and coordinators who are also parents, neighbors and citizens of the world. We combine our skills, passion and dreams to shorten the distance between cultures, and we give back to the community that has welcomed us.
That commitment has been noticed: in 2025, the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance recognized Our Konnection with second place in the small-business category of its Business Excellence Awards.
